Join the SBA Diversity Co-chairs for a movie night! We will be hosting a viewing of the 2016 movie "Loving," based on the famous Loving v. Virginia case. Professor Steenson will facilitate a discussion for the first half hour, followed by the movie.

A Critical Look at Children Who Sexually Abuse Other Children

Mitchell Hamline School of Law

National and local researchers and practitioners-who work with children who are both the survivors of and perpetrators of sexual abuse-will discuss best practices for our child protection, juvenile delinquency, and public health systems for both intervention and treatment.  A focus will be how the child protection system responds to these complex cases, and how it works with other systems (including public health systems) to provide the best treatment for children and their families. 

We will conclude the day with a discussion of current policies relating to community notification and registration of children convicted of sexual offenses. The program will include presentations, panel discussions, lunch and a networking reception.

Current law students may attend free by contacting Sue McBrayer at sue.mcbrayer@mitchellhamline.edu to register. Public interest attorneys please enter the discount code CPP and click "Apply Discount" to receive the discounted price. Application has been made for 6.5 CLE credits.  Event Code TBA.
